The Valley City Fire Department, in an
effort to further it's professional training has teamed up with Life
Care Center of Medina and the Medina County Sheriff's office and will
be holding a training class on Saturday and Sunday June 11th
and 12th from 0900 to 1400 hrs.
Life Care Center of Medina has donated
the use of a building that will be demolished and the Medina Co.
Sheriffs SWAT team and the Valley City – Liverpool Twp. Fire
department are conducting training sessions there. The SWAT team has
planned to bring their new tactical vehicle on Sunday to practice
entering the building using force tactics.
The Fire department has been practicing
in the building on such skills as ventilation techniques, fallen man
rescue, hose advancement procedures and rope rescue. They will
continue these trainings on Saturday and Sunday.
