Sunday, November 14, 2010 14:30  Valley City Fire Department was dispatched at 2:30 pm Sunday afternoon for a motor vehicle accident with injuries in the 300 block of Columbia Rd. Squad 17-1 was first on the scene and found a Ford pick-up truck on it's passenger side with the patient partially ejected from the vehicle. The patient was pronounced dead at the scene. Squad 17-1, Heavy Rescue 18 and Engine 11 responded from Valley City Fire Department. Brunswick Hills Ladder 26 also responded to assist in removing the patient from the vehicle. Crews from Rescue 18 and Ladder 26 used Res-Q-Jacks and airbags to remove the patient from the vehicle. The scene was turned over to Ohio State Patrol for investigation.
